+ How are your draperies so inexpensive?
We sell at designer-direct, wholesale pricing and are pleased to offer the home shopper the same pricing and service as a professional interior designer. Our goods are first quality (not seconds, leftovers, or factory overstocks) and are hand-made here in our Pennsylvania workshop.
-
+ Do you price-match?
No, we cannot price-match against other sites as many have their panels out-sourced and made overseas. Many sites offer drapes only in a few off-the-shelf sizes, while we make each panel to order, here in the USA. Also be sure that the fabric and lining quality is comparable - some sellers are using very low quality materials.
-
+ How are orders shipped? Shipping transit time?
We ship via UPS Ground for all panels orders within the contiguous 48 states. Shipping upgrades are available upon request. See our UPS Transit Time Chart for transit times.
Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska rates are quoted on an individual basis.
Fabrics by the yard may be shipped by any UPS service or the USPS - your choice.
Panels are neatly folded, wrapped in plastic, and boxed just prior to shipping. To decrease wrinkling, unpack your panels as soon as you can and lay them out as flat as possible.

+ Production time?
Current Production Time - Click
Once all of the needed information is received panels usually ship within 5-9 business days. The winter Holiday Season is especially busy however and longer production times may occur. When an order is placed we will send a production time estimate. Rarely a color may be on backorder and longer lead times may result.

+ What is a "width"?
Each cut of fabric (54-58” wide X ???” long) is called a “width”. Widths can be sewn together vertically to make wider panels. We can also split widths in half. A full width sewn to a 1/2 width is called “1.5 widths”, and 2 full widths sewn together is “2 widths”.

+ What is Flannel Interlining?
Flannel Interlining is a soft, 100% cotton flannel that is placed between the silk and the outer lining materials. Silks by their nature are fine materials and the addition of Flannel Interlining adds body, fullness and softness to the draperies. We highly recommend it for a fuller, richer look. Interlining is optional and has an additional charge.

+ Do your panels block light?
Panels with standard lining will provide complete privacy but will not block a large amount of light. If you need to darken your room, or do not like the look of light filtering through the fabric, we offer two linings that are designed to block light; Dim-Out and Black-Out lining. SEE NEXT BELOW
-
+ Do you offer light blocking or black-out linings?
Yes, we offer two linings specifically designed to filter sunlight.
Dim-Out Lining: Also called Thermal Suede, this lining is used in place of regular lining and will block about 40% of visible light. The material is heavier than the other linings but still acceptably soft to use with silks. The fabric is 50% cotton, 50% polyester and is crease and soil resistant.
Black-Out Lining: This lining is designed to block 100% of visible light. The material is a bit heavier than the Dim-Out. Some sacrifice will be made using this lining as your panels will hang in a less relaxed fashion. The material is 100% polyester and is crease and soil resistant.
Organic Black-Out: While not 100% black-out, we can get very good results using a 100% organic cotton twill as an interlining. More details here

+ What type of linings do you use/offer?
All of our silk and lined linen panels include our standard 100% cotton lining available in either white or ivory. We offer a premium Sateen lining as well as other light blocking linings. See our Linings Page for more details.
